As an HR Generalist in Employment, you will play a key role in our ability to deliver what we promise to our customers.

As an HR Generalist, you will assist in ensuring a smooth and efficient Manufacturing operation by providing employment support for Hourly Bargaining Unit employees to guarantee a great employee experience.

Responsibilities of this role:

Administer the hourly employment office functions and processes, assist with workforce analysis, deployment and people power management based on contractual obligations and corporate policiesManage the day-to-day Employment window functions: leave tracking, reinstatements, general employee questions and support, records management, etc.Implement the onboarding orientation sessions for the HBU workforceSupport the implementation and execution of our lean manufacturing methodologyDrive a positive workplace culture by supporting plant employee engagement initiativesAssist with the administration of the national and local collective bargaining agreements

Key experiences and know-how

The following prior experiences will be required for someone to be successful in this role:

Employment/Labor Relations/Manufacturing experienceUtilize lean manufacturing tools in the context of employee developmentAnalyze and utilize data to make decisionsExperience with managing conflict and having difficult conversationsDemonstrated ability to be approachable, able to communicate with all levels of employees, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degreeProficient with Microsoft SuiteStrong communication skills (written and verbal)Strong follow up, problem solving and conflict resolution skillsAbility to work variable shifts, including weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field1+ years of experience in Human Resources or related fieldAble to interact with all levels of management and Union officials to accomplish goalsManufacturing experience is highly desirableEOE / Disability / Veteran
