In our kitchens, we focus on fresh and simple ingredients. And we always have. Since the beginning, we've served chicken that is whole breast meat, with no added fillers or hormones, and we bread it by hand in our restaurants. Produce is delivered fresh to our kitchens several times a week. Salads are chopped and prepared fresh throughout the day. Whole lemons are freshly squeezed in our restaurants and combined with pure cane sugar and water (yep, that’s all) to make Chick-fil-A Lemonade®. It may not be the easy way, but it's the only way we know.


Position Description

At Chick-fil-A Janesville, the Team Member role is more than just a job, it's an opportunity. In addition to working directly for an independent Operator, team members gain life experience that goes far beyond just serving a great product in a friendly environment. Chick-fil-A is a great opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds, and no experience is necessary. The Back of House Team Member seeks to provide guests with a remarkable dining experience each and every day by working as a team to give each guest the quickest, highest quality food possible. 


We're looking for our next great Back of House Team Members We are currently only hiring for team members who will be able to work night time hours (closing 11pm) and be able to work Fridays and Saturdays.



Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook and present food safely, delivering food to our guests within 90 seconds.
  • Working quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards
  • Adhere properly to safety standards with kitchen equipment, ingredients and personnel
  • Look for opportunities to stock and clean to maintain a productive workstation
  • Keep the kitchen clean, hygienic, and tidy at all times, including floors
  • Maintain and develop personal expertise with in-house training and annual recertification
  • Follow rigorously company policies and procedures to produce incredible food, every time
  • Strive for quality and consistency in every aspect of their work
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, courtesy and hospitality to all

Must be eligible to work in the United States * Must have a source of reliable transportation * Ability to handle all equipment, pans, pots, navigating shelving both high and low * Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills required * Works in hot, noisy and fast paced environment * Mobility required during shifts * Must work well under pressure * Must be able to respond to changes or edits to orders quickly and efficiently * Can multitask while working at a quick, efficient and thorough pace * Demonstrates excellent communication with guests and team members while being service oriented and displaying a positive attitude * Must be 16 years of age or older * Must be able to physically perform the duties of all front of house positions including lifting 25 lbs. and standing for the entirety of the shift
