Job Shift: Shift 1
Shift Details: Rotate between 7a-3p;10a-6p; 2:15p-10:15p & every other weekend. All new staff start at a rate of $19.56 Shift differentials: $1.50: 3p- 7:30a; $2.50: Sat/Sun 7a-3p; $4.00: Sat/Sun between 3:00p-7:30a

Job Summary

Providesassessment of clients' appropriateness for a residential living facility incooperation with the program manager by reviewing written referral materialand/or personal interview with potential clients and families. Counselsassigned clients to provide skills of community living and life management.Observes residents in their self-administration of medication. Collaborateswith other program staff by attending departmental meetings to promote optimumclient care. Transports clients as needed to necessary appointments. Mayprovide and or assist in food preparation and cleanliness of the program.Reports to: Program Manager.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required.
  • CPR Certification required.
  • Current Connecticut Driver’s License required.
  • Public Service License required or obtained within 90 days of hire date.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience with a psychiatric population.
  • Required annual education: courses through Performance Development Center/Healthstream/ Elearning and Crisis Intervention training.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
