Essential Functions of the Job:
Examines patients and diagnose illness. Assists or performs routine laboratory, screening and therapeutic procedures. Facilitates the physician's referral of patients to the appropriate health facilities, agencies or resources of the community. Administers medication to patients according to established policies. Coordinates the preparation of reports and written documentation including medical records, as required by the department, company, state and federal agencies.Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, inservice meetings and workshops. Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.Job Requirements:

Minimum:
Licensed Independent Practitioner
Preferred:
Nationally Certified Family Nurse Practitioner.

RN license and CPR CertificationPreferred:

2 years after completion of trainingPreferred:
Employment in community clinic and/or Managed Care System. Experience working with the elderly.Supervisory Experience:
Supervision of nurses.Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) helpful. Good oral and written communication.Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
Wound Care, ACLSEquipment Used:
Diagnostic and therapeutic spirometry (e.g. EKG)Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Frequent sitting. May assist patients in getting onto examination table. Will be required to work at other sites. Will be required to work participate on on-call panel and work evenings and/or weekends.Universal Requirements:
Pre employment requirements include I-9; physical, positive background and reference check results, complete application, new hire orientation, pre-employment PPDs.-
