The purpose of this role is to provide high-level administrative support while assisting in graphic design and promotional needs. The Marketing Assistant/Graphic Designer will conduct research, prepare statistical reports, handle information requests, coordinate events, and perform clerical functions, and will focus on creating visual content for marketing, internal promotions, and employee events. This role require adherence to Ben E. Keith Company policies and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Marketing Department in achieving its goals.
• Proof and edit copy for spelling, grammar, and layout, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations for various division meetings and events.
• Represent Ben E. Keith Co. professionally by maintaining a positive attitude and following the company dress code.
• Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining record systems, and performing basic spreadsheet tracking tasks.
• Assist in coordinating division events and promotional purchases.
• Complete special projects as assigned.
• Create designs, concepts, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.
• Assist in developing graphics and layouts for instructional and promotional materials for internal and external distribution.
• Complete photography projects and coordinate with external business partners for printing needs.
• Maintain an archive of images, photos, and previous design work.
• Stay current with industry trends through professional publications, associations, and design workshops.
Job Qualifications:
• 2-5 years of office or marketing experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience using Adobe Creative Suite in a production environment preferred.
• Familiarity with digital file formats and knowledge of four-color process and spot color preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required for company business-related driving.
• High level of attention to detail with a commitment to Ben E. Keith Company principles and standards.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to assess needs and meet quality standards.
• Strong ability to speak to small and large groups, conveying information effectively.
• Strong writing skills to prepare reports, correspondence, and internal/external communications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines efficiently.
• Social perceptiveness, active listening, and adaptability in communication style.
• Ability to work with external customers and public stakeholders.
Technical Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and internet usage.
• Competent in using office machines and a multi-line phone system.
• Basic photography and video skills are a plus.
• Willingness to learn new software and technical tools as needed.
Education:
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 2+ years of related experience.
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 LBS.
