Description

We are looking for a Structural Engineer to join our team onsite in Orlando, FL. This is a great opportunity for engineers seeking additional work experience in a highly technical, fast paced and technology-forward position. You should have experience with designing industrial structures and performing structural analysis by using computer software. You should have experience with domestic codes and standards, and possibly standards in Europe & Asia (AISC, ASTM, EN, GB, JIS).

This is an onsite position in Orlando, Florida. All candidates must be able to report to the facility daily.

You Will:

Support the conceptual design of structures, platforms and pipe supports using drafting and 3D design tools. Develop structural design criteria for standard and project specific designs. Perform structural analysis for gas turbine enclosures, pipe racks and pipe supports including common analysis of piping and structures. Develop and execute test plans to ensure proper operation of systems and validation of system designs.  Design welded and bolted connections. Take ownership for issuing structural drawings for project specific applications.

Minimum Requirements:  

B.S. in Civil or Structural Engineering with focus on Structural Design. 5+ years of experience in designing industrial structures and performing structural analysis by using computer software. 5+ years of experience in connection design. Familiarity with Codes and Standards applicable in the USA like IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 341, AISC 358, AISC 360, ACI 318 and AWS D1.1 Experience with structural steel materials common in the Americas, Europe and Asia (AISC, ASTM, EN, GB, JIS). Employment sponsorship is not available. All candidates must be eligible to work in the USA and successfully complete the Drug Screen & Background check done during the hiring process. Experience with Eurocode, Bentley STAAD or Risa 3D and/or Bentley Open Plant is highly desired
