Job Summary
The Tower Technician III is a senior-level role responsible for leading the installation, maintenance, and repair of wireless telecommunication systems on towers, rooftops, and other structures. This position involves working at heights, troubleshooting technical issues, and mentoring junior tower technicians. The Tower Tech III ensures that all work is performed according to safety and quality standards, particularly for AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile or similar clients.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the installation and troubleshooting of antennas, radios, and other wireless equipment.
  • Perform tower climbing, rigging, and installation of cabling, ensuring safety standards are strictly followed.
  • Conduct site audits, testing, and troubleshooting of RF systems.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians, ensuring team safety and efficiency.
  • Install new carriers on new build and existing towers.
  • Complete job site documentation, including closeout packages and reporting to supervisors or clients.
  • Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are prepared for projects.
Qualifications 
  • Experience: 5+ years in the telecommunications industry with advanced climbing experience.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with RF equipment, fiber installations, and PIM/VSWR testing.
  • Certifications: OSHA 30, RF Awareness, NWSA certification is a plus.
  • AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile build skills and testing
  • Strong understanding of OSHA and NATE safety regulations.
  • Ability to work at heights, with excellent physical fitness and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
