Overview

The Training and Content Designer will have responsibility for partnering on and shaping the overall design and functionality of the learning management system, course creation and other learning tools. This individual designs, creates and implements instructional training elements and measures the effectiveness of employee and management training.


Responsibilities

Learns “the voice” of First Watch in training materials, such as training guides, videos, policy updates and general operational information Owns compliance training program and runs reports to maintain important compliance certifications Designs training materials to increase operational knowledge, employee morale, satisfaction & productivity Partners with Home Office Operations and Culinary partners to ensure accuracy and efficacy of related LMS content Researchs instructional design tactics in e-Learning, classroom materials, job aides and on-the-job training Supports and understands challenges for our field employees and creates training initiatives to make their job functions easier Designs training materials to increase operational knowledge, employee morale, satisfaction & productivity Understands design tactics in e-Learning, classroom materials, job aides and on-the-job training Supports and understands challenges for our field employees and creates training initiatives to make their job functions easier Partners with internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop training materials for all positions Conducts regular training gap analysis to determine program effectiveness and develop recommendations for improvements
Qualifications

InDesign, Camtasia and Articulate Storyline experience required Strong editing and proof-reading skills Preferred experience in instructional design, or learning and development experience; experience in a service-oriented, hospitality industry such as hotel, resort, restaurant, retail, entertainment venue preferred Experience designing or producing professional training Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Photo Shop, PowerPoint, etc.)
