Allied Caregivers - Non- Medical Personal Care Aide (PCA)

Job Summary : Provide supportive and personal services for the clients with consideration of dignity and privacy. Provide personal care and hygiene to personal assistance clients. This is a per diem position.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • High School Diploma

  • Ability to read, write and follow directions

  • At least 18 years of age and has demonstrated competency

  • Work positively and favorably with clients, families, and staff

  • Demonstrate compassion, responsibility, and cheerful attitude

  • Listed on the nurse aide registry with no finding against the aide relating to client abuse or neglect or misappropriation of client property

  • Physical and or work release and a TB (Tuberculosis) Test

  •  Caregiverlist University Courses (2) completed online- Provided by Allied

  • Valid Drivers License

Responsibilities/Essential Functions:

The person in this position must be able to perform the following essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Follows the instructions of the Supervisor in providing personal assistance services

  • Assist with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing

  • Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes etc.

  • Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client's home or any significant observations regarding the client

  • Completes mandatory annual training

  • Report client complaints to Supervisor

  • Maintain client confidentiality/adheres to HIPPA requirements and agency policy and procedures manual

  • Possess the ability to follow written and oral instructions

  • Report abnormal findings in client's conditions as observed and per care plan to supervisor

  • Clock in/out on time via App – enter a summary of detailed shift care notes.
