Restorative/Rehab Nurse LPN

Citadel At Saint Benedict is seeking a Restorative Nurse LPN to join their team The Restorative Nurse LPN performs restorative nursing procedures that maximize the resident’s existing abilities, emphasize independence instead of dependece and minimize the negative effects of disability within the attitude of realistic optimism.
Restorative Nurse LPN Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs restorative care services, and its programs and activities, in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines that govern nursing care facilities. Meets with administration, medical and nursing staff, therapy department, and other related departments in planning restorative care. Develops and maintains restorative care standards. Assists the Quality Assessment and Assurance Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies Assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability of directing restorative care services. Performs administrative duties such as completing medical forms, reports, evaluations, studies, charting, etc. Ensures that all restorative care notes are informative and descriptive of the treatment provided and of the resident’s response to the care. Provides licensed care to assigned residents as ordered by physician and in accordance with facility, federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations Monitors and directs non-licensed ancillary services as deemed necessary to meet professional standards and maintain the highest practicable level of resident care Communicate/report information to residents, resident families, physicians, guardians, governmental agencies, and facility personnel as required by facility policy and State/Federal guidelines. Follows and adheres to company policies and procedures regarding HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) compliance. All other duties, as assigned.Restorative Nurse LPN Qualifications and Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Serves as the expert in Restorative Care. Ability to multi-task and remain calm under stress. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Understands and follows infection control standards, policies and procedures. Must be able to adapt to a flexible work schedule and occasional overnight travel.Restorative Nurse LPN Education and Experience:
Nursing Degree or diploma from an accredited College or University. Possess a current license to practice in the State as a Licensed Practical Nurse. 1 year of restorative experience preferred. Must have training in rehabilitative and restorative therapy practices. Long-Term care experience preferred.Physical Requirements:
Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required. Limited potential for exposure to environmental hazards. Understanding and adherence to company safety standards and protocols required.Citadel Healthcare Benefits:
