Role Profile
The role of the Indian Orchard HSE Manager is to provide overarching personal safety, process safety, and environmental leadership for the Indian Orchard site. This role requires the ability to manage a team of HSE professionals, assume accountability for site HSE performance, and embrace and foster strong partnership with Indian Orchard Manufacturing leadership. The role reports up through the Films Division HSE branch of the Global Health, Safety, and Environmental organization.
ResponsibilitiesCore responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Direct leadership of Environmental Operations, Industrial Hygiene, and other safety support personnel
- Matrixed partnership with the Indian Orchard Leadership Team
- Joint responsibility (with Manufacturing) for overall HSE performance at the Indian Orchard site, and responsibility for driving continual improvement in that performance
- Management of the Indian Orchard GHSE Budget
- Advocacy for HSE resources necessary to ensure adequate support for the Indian Orchard site
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an environmental, occupational health and safety, engineering or other related discipline
- Good interpersonal, communication, and team skills. This position will be involved in many cross-functional interactions.
- Strong customer focus, with demonstrated ability to solve complex issues and work in partnership with Manufacturing and other stakeholders.
- Experience in managing an HSE team effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing setting with broad understanding of operational needs and issues across the site
- Professional certification preferred such as CSP, CIH, PE.
- Prior people leadership experience
- Demonstrated project management skills
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, MASSDEP, ACC, and Internal HSE standards
