Summary

Answers call lights to determine resident needs. Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents and assists with personal hygiene to increase their comfort and well-being. Assists residents using wheelchair and/or assists them to walk. Maintains the residents’ rooms in orderly fashion. Serves and collects food trays from bed residents. Feeds residents requiring help; provides between meal nourishments; provides fresh drinking water. Transports residents to the Dining Room, Rehabilitation, and various other programs. Takes and records temperatures, weight, intake and output and other procedures as directed by the nurse in charge including trimming and cleaning of toenails and fingernails (except for diabetic residents) and other procedures. Reports all unusual conditions or reactions to the nurse in charge. Cleans, stores, and prepares various nursing supplies used. May be assigned other duties as appropriate.

Job Qualifications
