GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

PLEASE NOTE: Incumbent will overlap and be expected to train with existing staff prior to their departure.

Under the direct supervision of the Loan Operations Supervisor, is responsible for efficient and accurate processing of all loan disbursements, loan boarding, accuracy of loan payment application, credit line advances, account servicing, loan file maintenance, document imaging, insurance monitoring, escrow and tax service monitoring, filing, mail notices and billings, data and transaction research, and providing quality service to internal and external customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Process all loan activity including funding/payments/fee collection/internal transfers/wire transfers.
  2. Complete various weekly, monthly, and annual reports for regulatory compliance and management reporting.
  3. Assemble/Scan loan files.
  4. Maintain and update insurance files for all loans. Contact agent with errors or updates. Check for correct lien holder information and amount of coverage per bank policy. Pay or advance forced placed insurance when necessary.
  5. UCC collateral administration.
  6. Review all loan files post-booking, to ensure all documents are completed and the loan was input into the system correctly.
  7. Record proper loan documentation and prepare and process paid off loans.
  8. Track the recording of lien perfection on titles and mortgages. Follow up with clients as needed.
  9. Handle customer calls and inquires.
  10. Ensure compliance with all applicable state and federal laws and with bank policies and procedures.
  11. Maintain all aspects of escrow process.
  12. Complete data entry of new loan bookings, wires, payments and advances on Bank's core system.
  13. Cross train in other loan functions and train other department members in operational functions.
  14. Produce/review reporting on a regular basis to ensure quality control and transparency with management.
  15. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Physical/Mental Requirements:

Job functions are performed in an office environment. Incumbent operates various types of office equipment, secures supplies and files, communicates with customers and/or other employees and is frequently required to move about the branch and/or office location. Physical demands involve any or all of the following: digital dexterity and eye/hand coordination in the operation of office equipment; light to moderate lifting and carrying of supplies, files, etc.; the ability to speak to and to hear customers and/or other employees on the telephone and in person; body and motor skills sufficient to enable the incumbent to move from one office location to another; must be capable of learning to use complex data processing equipment and performing moderate to complex mathematical calculations; must be able to work extended hours as needed.


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 Years experience in lending
  • Knowledge of mortgage lending guidelines and regulations
  • Good interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills
  • Good PC and software application skills in Windows environment
  • Strong organization skills and detail oriented
  • Basic knowledge of hazard and flood insurance administration
