Quanex is looking for a Mixer Operator to join us in Cambridge, Ohio .

Summary: The basic function of this position is producing quality products with minimum scrap.

What Success Looks Like:

• Operate forklift/complete daily checklist.
• Assist in staging and organizing raw materials utilizing FIFO system.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining compound processing procedures.
• General knowledge of TCU’s and manual mixing procedures.
• General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5s duties.
• Ability to operate the mixer, skid unloader, bale cutter, weight conveyor, and charge conveyor.
• Follow production schedule and maintain pace as outlined in mixing procedures.
• Ensure oil pumps are running before start-up and ensure bulk powders system is in auto.
• Empty oil buckets on the mezzanine daily.
• Maintain and operate bar code printer.

Your Credentials:

• Ability to stand, walk, and use upper extremities while occasionally sitting, crouching, and bending.
• Ability to climb stairs, lift to 80 pounds and perform necessary job tasks.
• Close visual work required. Ability to read information in a variety of formats.
• Environmental conditions are climate controlled indoor activity.

Hourly Wage is $17/hour plus $1.00/hour shift premium (for second and third shifts)

Second shift = 2:45pm – 11:00pm; Third shift = 10:45pm – 7:00am
