Our RN Supervisor provides outstanding mentoring and leadership to our nursing team to ensure we are providing the highest quality of care to our residents. As an RN Supervisor, you will play a key role in developing, training, and managing a successful and fulfilled team.

Responsibilities

Participates in the development, implementation, and evaluation of the department’s quality assurance program. Provide administrative and clinical leadership for nursing staff to ensure the delivery of quality care that meets the residents’/patients’/guests’ needs. Maintains knowledge base of current standards of nursing practice. Orientate new employees to the neighborhood/household/unit. Monitor staffing hours as related to case mix and collaborates with the Scheduler for staffing changes and absences. Administer positive guidance, support and performance evaluations as outlined by community policy. Participate in Development, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing department quality assurance program. This includes guest, family and staff satisfaction; safety and risk management; and strategic planning. Develop and maintain policies and procedures that are in alignment with the director of nursing, to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations and nursing standards. Serve as a nursing liaison with other departments and guests/families, community groups, general public, and other health care providers. Step in as acting Director of Nursing in the absence of the DON. Coach staff that are participating in a succession development plan and adhere to affirmative action requirements. Promotes the Benedictine Mission and Core Values of Hospitality, Stewardship, Respect and Justice by bringing the Mission and Core Values into the day-to-day activities of the company. Ensures adherence to policies and procedures.  Performs other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN), in good standing. Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Office and general office equipment. Management experience in nursing preferred. Experience in a long term care setting preferred.
