SafeHaven is seeking Clinical Counselor - Child This position provides direct counseling services to children, and groups as needed, at all agency service sites as assigned by the supervisor. Provide short-term counseling services and applicable mental health resources. Assess client needs and refer clients to appropriate agency programs and outside support services as needed. Provide parent support in an individual and group setting to parents/caregivers at agency service sites as assigned by the supervisor.Independently manage time with little supervision. The position has significant responsibilities such as high ethical standards in line with the rules set forth by the appropriate licensing board. Ensure intake assessments, outcome measures, and treatment plans are completed. Complete and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner. Working in the domestic violence field can be hard – but we can do hard things. The specific qualifications for this role are: Licensed as LPC-Associate, LPC, LMFT or LCSW, Experience in play therapy preferred Minimum two years’ experience in the field of family violence, victim services or related work required. Knowledge of crisis intervention, case management, social work theory, trauma-informed interventions, and ethics preferred. Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory, CCPT, CPRT, Attachment, TF-CBT, EMDR, and TBRI preferred. Ability to provide culturally competent services and work with diverse staff and clientele in an empathetic and non-judgmental manner. Strong organization and time management skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced and changing environment. Please include salary requirements in your cover letter.
