This is a part-time paid apprenticeship opportunity working directly with a local high school that also offers the youth apprenticeship program. This position is for high school juniors and seniors. Post-graduate candidate must apply for an open adult apprenticeship opening. No benefits are offered with this role. 

POSITION SUMMARY:


This program is designed to introduce students to electrical work via job shadowing, relatable work and projects, as well as our overall company culture. The student must complete 450 hours of work that is approved by the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development over a 12-month period. The work will be performed both in a warehouse/shop environment as well as in the field. Apprentices may be required to move vehicles around our shop and yard area - must have a valid drivers license. 

All applicable laws, guidance, and regulations related to child labor and youth apprenticeships will be followed. 

Qualifications:


  • Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License 
  • Demonstrate and Promote Company values of Integrity, People-Oriented, Passionate Partnerships, Positive Attitude, Commitment to Excellence
  • Some work experience is preferred but not required, preferably in a trades / construction environment.
  • Must Be Able to Pass a Background Check and Drug Test
  • Enrollment in a DWD approved Youth Apprenticeship via your high school
  • Must be able to lift 50+ pounds and be able to safely handle, and work from, a ladder.
Pay increase will be given throughout the apprenticeship and based on positive progression.
