The patient access specialist with rehabilitation aide specialty position encompasses two main job duties: to provide accessory support to the lead patient access specialist job duties and clinic support to rehabilitation providers.
This position is responsible for reception desk duties to include use of EMR computer systems, use of Microsoft office computer software, registering/checking in patients, answering phones, checking messages, interacting with patients, assisting patients with form completion, opening/closing down clinic, laundry stocking, supply stocking, prepping charts, faxing/coping, emailing and/or various forms of communication between multiple departments and staff.
Additional duties indicated in the PT aide job description include patient interaction, assisting rehab staff with patient setup/completion in gym/treatment rooms, cleaning rooms between patients, escorting patients to treatment setting, and assistance in patient care with rehab provider direct supervision.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimal high school diploma or BBC approved job policy for ages 16+ CPR certified Exposure in high school and/or college to healthcare focused classes, previous job, and/or volunteer work in healthcare related setting is required Demonstrated excellence in customer service skills 1+ years’ experience working with general public requiredSCHEDULE:
