Job Description:

Microchip’s Discrete Products Group (DPG) offers one of the industry's most comprehensive power and RF/microwave discrete semiconductor product portfolios. The DPG encompasses two business units, the Power Discrete & Modules BU and the RF/Microwave Discretes BU. Markets the PDM & RF/MW Discretes BU's address include: alternative energy, industrial, medical, defense, commercial aviation, communications, embedded systems, motor control, power solutions, sensors and security. Microchip DPG has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Equipment Maintenance Tech IV. The right candidate will repair and maintain electro-mechanical equipment used in the production semiconductor equipment, or any other duties, as directed.

Requirements/Qualifications:

·Minimum 2 year of experience in the repair and maintenance of production manufacturing equipment.

·Ability to repair electro-mechanical equipment or assemblies.

·Ability to perform PM and general maintenance on production equipment.

·Ability to work from schematics, mechanical drawings, or written instructions.

·Experience in the use of multimeters, soldering irons and mechanical tools.

·Ability to read, write and communicate in English.

·Ability to use MS Office. 

·Ability to interface with parts or service vendors.

Desired Qualifications:

·Trade school or post high school certificate training in electronics.

· Experience with calibration of equipment, vacuum systems, and electronics.

·Strong mechanical skills.

·Machine shop experience.

Candidates are required to provide proof of either US citizenship, Permanent US residency or classification as a protected individual as defined in 8 USC 1324b (a) (3).
