Job Description

Atlas Roofing Web Technologies is seeking a  Maintenance Technician  for  Sylacauga, AL .

Maintenance Technician Primary Responsibilities

Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility. Responsible for following all plant and safety rules including all safety Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements. Inspect, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings as necessary. Uses various types of meters and test equipment proficiently to allow for sound decision-making in the troubleshooting process. Able to communicate information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for the purpose of making equipment modifications. Perform pipe installations and repairs in various pipelines. Interpret blue prints for equipment information and installation. Utilize torches, welders and burning equipment. Maintains daily shift inspection and repair logs for review by supervision, and other plant personnel. Regular attendance required.

Maintenance Technician Experience

Minimum three (3) years Industrial Electrical / Mechanical experience Good working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic system Basic knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and industrial equipment Basic knowledge of DC motor controllers, AC inverters, and motors

Maintenance Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Mathematical abilities: Basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to calculate percentages and add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals. Reading Ability: Advanced –ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations. Ability to present information to and respond from questions from groups of managers, customers, employees or the general public. Computer skills: Word – beginner level (memos, letters, formatting) Must be able to use power tools, including electrical testing and measuring equipment.

Maintenance Technician Education, Licenses & Certifications

High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements: Regularly standing, walking, lifting, handling, reaching, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, coordination; and occasionally carrying, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching Vision Requirements: far and near acuity, depth perception, field of vision, and color Environmental Requirements: extreme heat/cold and temperature changes, wet, humid and noise
