BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):
The primary duties of the Slot Ambassadors are to facilitate the daily shift operations of the department. Responsibilities include; EGM jackpot payment, verification and approval, and Title 31 compliance. Slot Ambassadors will administer promotional events, monitor normal operation exchanging currency, redeeming EGM pay out tickets, witnessing and providing payment for EGM jackpot tickets s and provide general customer service. EGM service performed on a routine basis includes access to the EGM main door to observe game function, inspect game error codes, and perform paper changes as required, clear paper jams and reset error codes.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
- The Slot Ambassador provides witnessing/authorizing signature for slot jackpot payments as described by department policies, and may authorize guest services as predetermined by complimentary procedures.
- Ability to resolve customer dispute or be able to compile the necessary information for the Coquille Tribal Gaming Commission to render customer resolution.
- Provide a source for customer currency exchange for the purpose of operating gaming equipment.
- Provide witnessing or authorizing signatures and coordinate customer satisfaction resolution.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
- Position requires previous heavy cash handling experience or other transferable accounting skills.
- Position requires that you be able to navigate through the Oasis Ticket Redemption Center validation system.
- Customer service experience is preferred, with emphasis on multi-tasking, personal organization and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork, self-motivation and maintenance of confidentiality are expected on a daily basis.
- Is expected to maintain an orderly work environment and comply with all required policies and procedures.
- Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Ability to work weekends, holidays and evening hours as business demands. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand for extended periods, and frequently walk, and use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally sit. Ability to manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure, manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately. The casino work environment may expose you to second hand smoke on a regular basis.
