Registered Nurse Circulator / OperatingRoom / Surgical Services
PRN - 1 or 2 shifts per week
Applyingthe standards set forth for nursing practice by the American Nurses Association(ANA) and Association of periOperative Registered Nurses (AORN), the CirculatingOR RN will organize, modify, evaluate, document and maintain the planof care for surgical services patients.
Assistsin and assesses Operating Room readiness: table positioning, supplies andsupply availability, and equipment readiness
Monitors treatment in the operative environment including practice of aseptictechnique and maintenance of sterile fields and correction of breaks intechnique for any of the team members
Managespatient safety by implementing operative policy and procedures includingpatient identification, site verification, positioning and counting of sponges,instruments and sharps
Our SurgicalServices Department has 26 operating rooms. Using advanced technology and leading-edge techniques, our surgicalteams perform procedures in many specialty areas including Brain, Burn,Cardiovascular, General, Gynecological, Neurology, Ortho, Plastics, Robotics,Spine, Trauma, and Urology.
Medical City Plano is afull-service, Magnet-designated 600+ bed acute care hospital with more than2,070 employees. As part of HCA Healthcare, we have the resources andclinical expertise necessary to provide exceptional care. Our services includea Level 1 Trauma Center, comprehensive cancer treatment, advanced surgeryincluding robotic and minimally invasive, orthopedics, heart and vascular care,and complete women's and children's services, including a high-risk antepartumunit and a Level 3 NICU.
Qualifications
What you need to be successful: ADN required / BSN preferredTexas RN license or compact license isaccepted
Current BLS issued by theAmerican Heart Association or American Red Cross required
Musthave at least one (1) year OR RN experience in an acute care hospital
