Job Description Summary
The Constellation and Network Administrator is responsible for managing EnterpriseKC's (EKC) internal network and IT infrastructure as well as managing and actively growing the external EKC edge network known as the EKC Constellation. The role bridges technical expertise with the ability to evangelize the technology vision and expand EKC's footprint in support of current and future tools and applications.

The Constellation and Network Administrator will collaborate with EKC Pillar and Cluster leaders to understand all EKC tools, platforms, and initiatives hosted on the EKC Constellation with a specific focus on the expansion of the EKC Constellation. The individual will wake up every day thinking about the opportunity to further expand a high performance, highly secure, state of the art network infrastructure.

Job Description

OWNERSHIP
  • Strategy, implementation, and maintenance of EnterpriseKC's internal and exterior network infrastructure (The EKC Constellation).
  • Identifying, approaching, and engaging potential clients to host EKC machines in their locations in support the EKC Constellation.
  • Expansion of EKC's reach and influence through strategic partnerships and collaboration related to decentralized networking initiatives.
  • Implementation of innovative solutions and technologies to optimize network performance, reduce latency, and enhance user experience for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Operational efficacy of the EKC applications residing on the EKC Constellation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Manage and optimize the internal network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability.
  • Monitor performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource allocation.
  • Identify potential partners, conduct presentations, and secure hosting agreements to expand the network.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with partners, effectively communicating the benefits and requirements of hosting EKC machines.
  • Coordinate with Pillar and Cluster Leaders and cross functional teams to assess network needs and deploy resources accordingly.
  • Collaborate with legal team to ensure hosting agreements comply with regulations.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and associates.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in decentralized networks and edge computing to inform strategic decisions.
  • Serve as the internal technical resource for application support.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network related issues.
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of network infrastructure with business goals.
  • Conduct and implement disaster recovery planning and strategy.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure network security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Deliver EKC presentation to both technical and non-technical partners to gain hosting agreement.
  • Respond to all requests from external and internal clients in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify business and market trends utilizing multiple sources of data.
  • Comply with all company policies and proactively protecting confidentiality of Client and company information.
  • Develop weekly Progress, Problems, Plans (P3) report.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
  • Proficiency in network administration and infrastructure management.
  • Clear, concise verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, including planning, goal setting, organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Familiarity with edge computing concepts and decentralized network architectures.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms and virtualization technologies.
  • Negotiation and relationship building skills for partner acquisition.
  • Project management skills to coordinate deployments and implementations effectively.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices for network security
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of driving technology visions and engaging effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to put team success above personal preference.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Strong, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills (MS Teams and MS Project skills a plus).
