ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESIncludes the following. Other duties may be assigned. Takes and records patients' vital signsApplies compresses, ice bags, and hot water bottlesObserve residents and reports adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge. Assist with self-administered specified medication and notes time and amount on residents' recordsCleans equipment and suppliesMonitors food trays for prescribed dietRecords food and fluid intake and output, as requiredAnswers residents' callsInventories and requisitions suppliesSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESDirectly supervises 1 or more employees in the Resident Healthcare Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints, and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
