Applicants must be self-motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic. Applicants must be able to perform a variety of duties effectively and efficiently in a collaborative team environment, always striving for excellent results while troubleshooting specimen results, technical concerns, and instrument errors. The Chemistry Department is a fully automated lab with a comprehensive test menu, currently using the Roche 8000 chemistry lines and ABL 800 Flex Blood Gas analyzers. Education, Credentials, Licenses Baccalaureate Degree in a Biological Science with completion of a NAACLS approved Medical Technology Program along with certification from a nationally recognized certifying agency as a Medical Technologist OR Baccalaureate Degree in a related field of Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology) AND an advanced degree/certification in related field (i.e., MA in Chemistry, MA in Molecular or Microbiology, Certification in Molecular Diagnostics, etc.) OR CLIA' 889 Equivalent (HEW/HHS Certification) Registry Eligible for a Section Certification - must have a Baccalaureate Degree with a minimum of five-years technical experience in ONE of the Clinical Areas of the Laboratory. Kind and Length of Experience 2 years of related technical experience post-graduation from a Medical Technology Program either in a laboratory department as a generalist or in a laboratory section with specialized experience. Experience must be in a similar hospital laboratory environment for which the position is assigned i.e., Acute Care Hospital Laboratory or Rapid Response Laboratory.
