- Outreach: The Intern will participate in community outreach to educate community providers and eligible community members about IRC Program offerings.
- Case Management: The Intern will complete case management activities including support of individual clients to obtain essential services, protections and opportunities through governmental and community agencies and programs.
- Program Engagement: The intern will support program delivery within Safety and Wellness including but not limited to mental health wellness groups.
- Documentation: The intern will complete intakes, assessments and service plans which pertain to the programs and services assigned clients are utilizing. The intern will also complete ongoing case notes related to all client communication or interactions, services provided, and outcomes achieved.
- Demonstrates reliability and adaptability.
- Eager to gain knowledge about IRC's history, philosophy, global initiatives, and local endeavors.
- Desire to understand cross-cultural communication and the diverse ethnic backgrounds of clients and the willingness to provide culturally sensitive services and supports.
- Commitment to adhering to IRC's volunteer and workplace policies.
- Enrollment in an accredited Masters of Social Work graduate program with associated academic classwork.
- Compliant with IRC regulations regarding confidentiality, reporting and documentation.
This position reports to the Mental Health Program Coordinator and Clinical Care Manager.
