ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESPractice within the scope of training. license, certification, or registration, where applicable, and as required by law and regulation.Performs tasks as delegated and directed by the registered nurse.Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living and/or Instrumental Activities of Daily Living, including but not limited to:Assisting with ambulation, transfers, or exercisesAssisting with bathing, dressing, and groomingAssisting with feeding,Assisting with toileting, and incontinence care,Housekeeping,Meal preparation,Safe transportation,Medication reminders,Pet care,Maintain general order, safety, and cleanliness of Client area.Communicate any changes in Client condition or occurrences to registered nurse.Maintain chart documentation of care provided in accordance with the written plan of care.Practice safety and infection control methods.Demonstrate proper transfer and lift techniques using good body mechanic techniques.Maintain confidentiality & privacy of any PHI per HIPAA requirements.Exhibit competency in the observance of Universal Precautions by:Knowing standard precautionsWashing hands before and after patient care,Wearing gloves and other PPE as required.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIESKnowledge and application of proper body mechanicsKnowledge and application of Infection Control Principles & environmental safetyExcellent organization skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work under pressure to meet deadlinesAbility to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques and ingenuityAbility to interact with various departments throughout the organizationAbility to work flexible hoursAbility to participate as a team player to coordinate projectsAbility to read, interpret and apply policies, best practices, laws, rules and regulationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSExperience: 1 year caregiving experience, preferredLicensures & Certifications: (if applicable)Valid NC CNA certificateValid driver's license and proof of automobile insuranceSUMMARY OF PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSWalking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching/squatting, kneelingFlexion/Extension of arms/wristHand dexterity to include gripping, pushing/pulling and writingIf assigned to hands-on client, ability to assist with transfers/repositioning,If assigned to hands-on client, lifting/carrying of 50 lbsOTHER DUTIESReport to work on time, ready for shift, and appropriately dressed for role.Consistently demonstrate Four Seasons values and competenciesComplete required orientation and on-going trainingParticipate in ongoing education and training offered by the agency and/or outside resources as required for role.Practice professional boundaries and behaviors and communication.Practice personal and environmental safety.Perform other duties as assigned by register nurse, Office Manager, or Director.
