Your team is bigger than your department: Physicians Surgical Hospitals includes two surgical centers - Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital, and one physical therapy center - Quail Creek Physical Therapy - and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo. Responsibilities The Infection Prevention ist Nurse is responsible for working with senior leadership to determine the hospital's infection control and prevention initiatives, including priorities and implementation plans. The I nfection Preventionist Nurse is a key figure in educating, advising, and coordinating infection prevention practices in relation to the PSH Mission and Vision. The I nfection Preventionist Nurse also has the responsibility for developing policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases . Duties include implementing policies governing control of infections and communicable diseases and also developing a system for identifying, reporting, investigating, and controlling infections and communicable diseases. The Infection Preventionist Nurse works collaboratively as part of the health system team by living the PSH Mission and Vision. QualificationsJob Requirements: Current Texas RN or LVN license Basic Life Support Certification Preferred Job Requirements: 5 years nursing experience, 2 years in infection prevention Experience working with CMS Regulations, DNV , TJC and OSHA Standards
