FORD TRANSMISSION TECHNICIAN - $7,500 SIGN ON BONUSWe have an excellent opportunity for a Transmission Technician to join our teamWe are offering you an opportunity to work alongside some of the best and brightest technicians in the industry in a newly renovated buildingYou'll stay on top of your game by having access to ongoing training programs, as well as participating in on the job training within our exciting, fast paced environment.What you'll be doing:Examine and diagnose vehicles as outlined in Repair OrdersDiscuss repairs with the Service Advisor or Service ManagerRemove and disassemble transmission unit and performs repair/replacementProvide labor estimates and communicate additional service recommendations to the Service AdvisorMonitor repair time and update Service AdvisorMaintain strict adherence to dealership policies on vehicle care and operationAssist in mentoring technician traineesAttend company and factory training, plus keep current with factory technical bulletinsUnderstand and follow federal, state, and local regulations (such as disposal of hazardous waste)BENEFITSWe are a large, family owned dealer groupExpanded service department with lots of work coming inModern facility with many fresh upgradesCompetitive WagesExcellent health benefits and PTO QUALIFICATIONSMust have a valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle ReportKnowledge on transmission replacement and repair REQUIREDPrevious Ford experience PreferredHiring Bonus Payment Schedule: $500 at start of employment, $2,500 after 90 day probation period, $4,500 after 6 months of employmentAbout our DealershipThe Gerald family has been selling automobiles in the Chicago area since the mid-1930's and has been proud to be a part of the communities they serve for decadesWe have succeeded in our endeavors because of a profound respect for our customer.
