Mammography /Mammographer Technologist (New Grads are welcome) - Santa Fe, NM

Shifts Schedule: (Monday - Friday) 9:00 am - 5:30 pm

Summary:

The Mammographer will operate radiologic equipment and performs mammography procedures to assist physicians in the diagnosis of disease by performing the following duties.

Duties:
Prepares and positions patients for mammography procedures.
Explains procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
Processes images and reviews for proper identification and quality control.
Explains the purpose and procedures for breast self-examination to patients and answers patients' questions.
Prepares images for reading by a radiologist or requesting physician.

Qualifications:
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent-two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
New Graduates are welcome.

Certificates and Licenses:
Must have ARRT (M) certification.
Active BLS training.
