The MRI Technician; Performs diagnostic MRI procedures, providing patient services using MRI modalities. Applies principles of MRI safety. Exercises professional judgment in the performance of procedures. Provides patient care essential to MRI procedures. Recognizes patient conditions requiring immediate action and initiates life support measures.

Requirements:

Education:

- Graduate of Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (AMA) Accredited Radiography Program, or equivalent

Experience:

-Minimum of on year hospital MRI experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification or equivalent.

- Competency in MRI components as appropriate

- Current American Heart Association's BLS/CPR certification card
