EEG/Neurodiagnostic Technician

Position Details:PRNAbout the Job: The EEG Technician is a qualified member of the health team with appropriate training and skills.The technician is to provide EEG services by the physician's orders and the specific needs of the patientThe technician will be responsible for learning the 10/20 system of measurement.Be responsible for the verification of orders for the appropriate testing needs.May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Required to follow infection control guidelines.Monitor respirations and EKG during testing. Able to explain procedures and answer patient's questions.The position will include being cross-trained as an EKG technician and a patient care technician.RequirementsHigh school graduate or equivalent (Diploma or transcripts required upon hire)BLS Required (AHA or Red Cross)Knowledge of general anatomy and physiologyMedical terminology and general computer skills1-year experience in the medical field (Preferred)To define excellence, and give hope, from our family to yours is our mission at Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland.
