Job Description
  • This veterinarian will be part of a progressive team of health professionals, producers, nutritionists, geneticists, technical advisors, researchers, and support team members.
  • Provides veterinary support and technical services to nucleus, multiplication, sow production, and nursery finish systems, with a primary focus on nursery/finish health and production.
  • Conducts diagnostic investigations and prescribes timely, progressive, and effective interventions.
  • Ensures exceptional biosecurity processes at all levels of production.
  • Additional opportunities include but are not limited to:
  • Assists with protocol development and process improvements.
  • Oversees animal welfare and Pork Quality Assurance programs.
  • Growing internal diagnostic technologies and laboratory capabilities.
  • Developing and performing swine health research.
  • Executing health monitoring programs.
  • Data analysis and reporting.
Requirements
  • Swine experience is preferred, new graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Positive attitude, willingness to learn, advanced interpersonal communication.
  • Ability to become licensed and accredited in Nebraska, Iowa, and South Dakota.
  • DVM degree from an accredited U.S. College of Veterinary Medicine.

  • Comply with all bio-security, safety, and animal welfare policies.
  • Knowledge of swine diseases and the pork industry preferred.
