Position Summary

We are seeking a Product Manager (PM) with at least five years of experience in product management experience who is highly organized and detail-oriented. The PM will be responsible for managing a variety of projects, working closely with the Business and Product owners to ensure the commercial launch of critical Wallet features on time, handling day-to-day tasks, including planning, managing dependencies across work streams, beta testing facilitation, contract management, CMS (Content Management System) management, and marketing tasks. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of delivering complex projects on time and exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Contributing to the vision and roadmap of Samsung Wallet.

• Driving clarity of the product to meet commercial and strategic goals.

• Defining and articulating use cases/requirements for features.

• Soliciting and formalizing feedback from customers, marketing teams, and partners to shape the product strategy and roadmap.

• Validate the business case and partner readiness to prioritize feature requests to ensure critical business goals are met and attain market leadership while using engineering bandwidth optimally.

• Ensuring adherence to Product Management processes related to change control and documentation

• Create product concepts for innovative new features and partnerships externally to highlight the value proposition of the Samsung Wallet ecosystem to partners and internally to get executive and development team buy-in on the importance of a partner or feature.

• Partnering with stakeholders and cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Quality Assurance, Technical Program Managers, Marketing, and Customer Support across various geographies (US, Korea, Philippines, and India).

• Creating the collateral material for the feature launch, including user FAQ, customer support training material, feature overview for other Samsung teams, value prop for partners, etc.

• Performing competitive and gap analysis to understand market trends for existing products and targeted market segments.

Experience Requirements

• Engineering degree in EE, CS, or similar with IT industry experience of 7+ years, at least five years of experience in Product Management.

• Demonstrated ability working in or with Fintech payment platform providers such as online payment gateway, issuing platform, and card networks

• Experience building consumer financial services and products

• Deep knowledge of the payment ecosystems, understanding of payment processing

• Lead the software lifecycle process with predictable delivery and results

• Experience in large-scale, mobile-first applications and services is mandatory, preferably in mobile wallets, payments, identity solutions, customer engagement, and retention services.

• Technical depth and business confidence to articulate various product choices and assert and defend positions regarding the definition and priority of features.

• Experience working with agile development tools and methodologies and release management.

• A solid drive to succeed, driven by a passion for products, with a strong design sense.

• Ability to align with the global direction from Headquarters but also influence and contribute to it.

• Ability to navigate international cultures, work across time zones, and willingness to work with a remotely located development and design team.

• Able to travel domestically or internationally, when required, to meet partners, development teams, or other stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $175,000 and $200,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
