10788476- Ultrasound Technologist - Springfield, MA - 13 Weeks Contract Sigma Healthcare Staffing is currently looking for Ultrasound Tech to work onsite at contracted facilities in Springfield.Shift : 12.00hr - PM Position Summary: The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures; operates real time ultrasound equipment and communicates technical impression to Radiologists and assists with records and inventory management. Essential Functions: Performs general ultrasound. Assists radiologist with ultrasound procedures. Provides verbal reports to radiologist and other providers. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, skills and abilities: Excellent customer service skills, including but not limited to: a friendly personality, tact, patience, empathy and a helpful, professional attitude both in person and on the telephone. Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers and the general public verbally and in writing. Demonstrate effective listening skills. Excellent organization and time management skills and ability to establish priorities effectively. Possess exceptional problem solving skills. Ability to work effectively without immediate supervision. Ability to learn new computer software programs. Ability to recognize and protect confidential information. Demonstrate ethical and legal accountability for the position. Education: Graduate of a two (2) year radiologic technology program or graduate of an ultrasound technology program. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered Radiologic Technologist Sonography from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) OR Registered Ultrasound Technologist from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). BLS Certification with a designation of either BLS Provider. MA Medical Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board certification required CPR- with one year of experience.
