Adelphi is seeking a psychiatrist to provide services at an intermediate care facility located in Booneville, Arkansas. The ideal candidate should have experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities, and severe/chronic mental illness.

Responsibilities:
Conduct psychiatric evaluations onsite to assess whether the client has a psychiatric disorder.
Provide consultations onsite providing recommendations for further evaluation, treatment, medication, or other changes of condition.
Provide a written report for all individuals evaluated to include diagnoses, and appropriate short-term and long-term service needs.
Determine the appropriate treatment plan in conjunction with recommendations by the facility's Medical Director.
Conduct medication assessments and provide medication management onsite, by telephone or telehealth, with the approval of the facility superintendent.
Participate in the development of new psychiatric service options for individuals with dual diagnoses.
Assess the client’s need for medication.
Conduct quarterly reviews of the progress of each client receiving medication for behavioral and/or psychiatric reasons.
Provide professional testimony in court as requested by the facility.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings as requested by the facility's superintendent.
Make recommendations to the team and primary care physician for changes in medications and/or treatment plans based on the clinical information received.
Immediately report incidents in accordance with DHS Policy 1090 and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations.
Work closely with other medical professionals regarding patient care.
Be available to take emergency calls to address behavioral crises as needed for the facility.
Provide services in accordance with the American Psychiatric Association and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) guidelines.
