SUMMARY

This position is responsible for establishing and leading enterprise wide, cross functional strategic initiatives.  The IT Project Manager – Infrastructure will lead a variety of different types of infrastructure related projects including network, database, data center upgrades and deployments.  This includes ensuring project results are of the highest caliber with a clearly articulated scope and quantifiable business benefit/value realization. 

SCOPE: Enterprise

ESSENTIAL/ NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·        Manages project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

·        Manages the overall execution and delivery of the project following IT Program Management Office methodology, policy and procedures.

·        Assists with developing project business case, budgets and ROI analysis.

·        Maintains and updates project budget, forecast, and financials

·        Gathers, tracks and documents project requirements and success criteria from all project stakeholders with sign-off.

·        Builds and maintains project plans to meet project requirements and success criteria.

·        Implements a comprehensive management plan for each project and holds regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress

·        Creates and manages project test plan and assists in development of project test cases as needed to meet quality assurance objectives based on project scope and requirements.

·        Understands the business benefits of a project by grasping business performance indicators and mapping them to goals of IT projects.

·        Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

·        Proven capability of managing multiple priorities effectively and efficiently with ability to perform under tight deadlines and demonstrate problem solving approach while maintaining strong integrity.

·        Manages, and appropriately escalates, delivery impediments, risks and issues including reaching out to the larger company network for impediment removal.

·        Coordinates the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan.

·        Conducts project retrospectives and creates a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

·        Maintains relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing (project plan, status reporting, resource planning, sprint burn down charts, etc.)

·        Acts as an agile Project Manager with a focus on guiding the teams towards improving the way they work.

·        Acts as a liaison between architects, engineers and operations and fosters better communication between the functions, ensuring cross-team coordination.

·        Minimizes impact of change on project delivery.

·        Ensures end user needs are met to drive adoption.

·        Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.

·        Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Required Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in IT Industry with an emphasis in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution.

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other technical discipline and 7 – 8 years of experience.

LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS

Agile, Scrum Master Certifications preferred.
