Description/Comment: ONSITE - TEMP TO HIRE - DURATION -3 - 6 MONTHS - SHIFT - 1ST 7AM - 3:30PM.
BASIC FUNCTION
Troubleshoots, maintains, improves and repairs all production machines and existing plant equipment. Performs fabrication and installation of new equipment. Maintains and repairs building and facilities.

TEAMWORK AND LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within field. May direct and lead the work of others, requiring the ability to guide others and provide direction. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Proficiently performs a variety of complicated tasks autonomously. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is required. Must demonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to effectively train other Mechanics and Plant staff. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to planning/forecasting, managing vendors, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

•Conducts preventative maintenance and safety checks on all production equipment to include, but not limited to the Eagle, Phaser, Mogul, Engrossing and Polishing rooms, and cook deck area;
•Conducts preventative maintenance and safety checks on all plant equipment, including the boiler and air compressor;
•Keeps plant equipment running and in good repair;
•Determines and prioritizes all necessary repairs, both electrical and mechanical, to ensure all machines are ready for the next day's run;
•Makes and delegates repairs in a timely manner;
•Makes improvements to plant systems and facilities;
•Replenishes spare parts and orders materials for projects, upgrades and overhauls;
•Prepares maintenance plans in accordance with production schedule to ensure minimal impact of necessary repairs;
•Assists Plant staff with adjustments, changeovers & programming of Plant machinery (Eagle, Phaser, Mogul) when circumstances are unusual, or as needed;
•Promptly reports to Plant Manager all serious equipment malfunctions, and suggested course of action;
•Determines what project work is needed and completes the project work in a timely manner;
•Provides, and maintains in good working condition, your own complete set of essential hand tools necessary to accomplish general, day-to-day maintenance responsibilities (shop tools & specialized equipment will be supplied by the company as required);
•Maintains cleanliness and upkeep of repair shop, maintenance office, and storage areas including all equipment, tools, supplies and materials found therein; and
•Observe and follow safety procedures;
•Observe and follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and Food Quality Plan (FQP);
•Take responsibility for producing high quality product in each step of production;
•Maintain clean work area.
•Participate in all necessary training is required to successfully perform job responsibilities.

Operation of common hand held and specialty tools and equipment Transportation of tools, carts, and all other required items to and from appropriate areas. Maintaining safe and orderly work environment at all sites requiring maintenance employee presence Attaining and sustaining postures required to work in industrial setting Kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting and other static postures required to be positioned in optimal placement for performing maintenance tasks Overhead reach, pushing, pulling and hand held tool use. Compound tasks including but not limited to sustained posture with overhead reach in concert with tool use Properly positioning equipment for maintenance Items including tools and lab equipment (1 to 15 lbs.), larger scale pieces of equipment involving multiple personnel for lift (> 50 lbs) Monitoring Boiler System and other production support systems Chemical testing and handling of chemicals for addition to system •Operation of appropriate work saver equipment •Coordination in an industrial setting - Operating safely in a dynamic environment which includes mobile and fixed equipment and changing conditions while completing job tasks that range from simple to complex and/or multi-tasking
