Key Responsibilities: health assessments and screenings for inmates upon intake and throughout incarceration. and treating common medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses. medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers. patients' vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment. to medical emergencies, accidents, and injuries within the correctional facility. immediate medical care and stabilization until further treatment can be obtained. with security staff and emergency responders to ensure a safe and effective response. inmates on preventive healthcare measures, chronic disease management, and self-care practices. healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention strategies within the correctional population. health education sessions and distributing informational materials. accurate and up-to-date medical records for all inmate patients. assessments, treatments, medications administered, and patient responses. significant findings, incidents, and concerns to appropriate medical and administrative staff.
