Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as a Cannabis Admin/Bookkeeper. If you have a background in administrative tasks, bookkeeping, and are familiar with the unique aspects of the cannabis industry, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Bookkeeping:
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.
  • Record financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and address discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:
  • Manage invoices, process payments, and track outstanding balances.
  • Handle billing and invoicing for products or services provided.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Generate regular financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.
  • Provide financial information to management for decision-making.
  • Tax Preparation Support:
  • Prepare and organize financial records for tax purposes.
  • Collaborate with external accountants to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Expense Tracking:
  • Monitor and track business expenses.
  • Categorize and allocate expenses to appropriate accounts.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documents.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings and appointments.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communication, including emails and phone calls.
  • Compliance:
  • Stay informed about and ensure compliance with local and state regulations related to cannabis financial transactions.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Previous Cannabis experience a plus
  • Previous retail experience is a plus
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and financial reporting.
  • Understanding of cannabis industry regulations is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
