We're a remote-first company, but we believe people should be able to work where they can be most productive. Currently, we can employ in the United States and Canada. We also have offices in Los Angeles and Seattle for those interested in hybrid or full-time office work.

As a Senior Technical UI Designer, you will build user interfaces that captivate and engage players, using your technical skills to implement, maintain, and iterate on UI features. You will be a vital member of a small User Experience team building out the menus, HUD, and all manner of UI elements for our first game and beyond. Responsibilities
    • Help drive the execution of new game features, capabilities, and content.
    • Work directly in UE5 to create awesome AAA-quality user interfaces that are easy to understand and navigate, delivering a great user experience.
    • Own and implement features using a combination of widget blueprint editing and traditional scripting.
    • Collaborate with UX designers, UI engineers and artists, technical designers, and more to deliver features on time, in line with the design and art direction, and with the player experience in mind.
    • Monitor, maintain, and improve UI performance.
    • Quickly identify and debug technical issues.
    • Playtest the game regularly, with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
Requirements
    • 7+ years experience as a Technical Designer, UI Technical Artist, Scripter, or similar role in Game Development.
    • Have 2+ Shipped titles in a UI role.
    • Have excellent design sensibilities and collaboration skills, particularly with other disciplines including Programmers, Designers, and Artists.
    • Experience with Programming/Scripting languages such as Python, C#, Java, or any C based scripting language.
    • Experience prototyping, building, and owning UI features from concept to release.
    • Proven ability to be self-directed, effective, and productive even when the path ahead is unclear.
Nice to Haves
    • Experience implementing UI components using Unreal Engine 4 or 5.
    • Experience with motion design and animation.
    • Experience in game development outside of UI (Engineering, Art, Design).
    • Experience creating Shaders and Materials with Unreal's Material Editor or similar node-based material editors.
    • Portfolio showing a wide range of work.


Compensation: We believe that a team that builds together wins together. Because of that, our compensation packages consist of competitive industry standard base salaries, an annual bonus, and royalties. For this specific role, the base salary range is $130,000 to $170,000 with the final salary offered dependent on job-related skills, knowledge, experience, and internal equity.
