They make our district the jewel of the Central Valley.Requirements / QualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Valid Credential or Valid PermitActive RN or LVN License in CaliforniaTB Screening ResultsBLS Certified2 years of nursing experience (RN or LVN)1 year verifiable experience as a licensed nurse providing care & services to chronically ill or elderly patients in an acute care hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, home care, hospice care or other long-term care setting PLUS Must have ONE of the following:Verifiable completion of a course in teaching adults (3 ways to verify):1.) Completion of a 24-hour course in "Planning, Implementing & Evaluating Educational Programs in Nursing" satisfies this requirement.2.) Completion of a course approved by the Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) or by an accredited educational institution satisfies this requirement.3.) A BRN continuing education course certificate used to meet this requirement must comply with the requirements found in 16 CCR, §§1450 et seq. This class uses the CA State curriculum to prepare students for certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) & includes both theory & clinical instruction. The clinical experiences are at local nursing homes.The instructor is responsible for following all state mandates for CNA training, including compliance with state approved curriculum, instruction calendar & required documentation.INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.
