Reporting to the Network Manager, as the IT Specialist, you will serve as the first level of support for employee technological issues. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of all jobs on our core system, Jack Henry.
Working with members, employees, and industry partners, our IT Specialist plays an instrumental role in delivering on our mission to our members: Save you money. Make you money. Save you time. That’s why we exist. This is achieved by successfully developing, implementing, and administering all aspects of the credit union’s IT activities.
Our IT Specialist will be successful in:
- Delivering a high level of member service to internal and external members in alignment with the credit union’s Service Promises.
- Contacting appropriate employees and/or external vendors to resolve any software, hardware and transaction processing issues that arise.
- Working with other departments to troubleshoot discrepancies and problems (lost and/or duplicated transactions, transmission of files, etc.).
- Assisting in troubleshooting and upgrading PC’s and systems.
- Installing and maintaining hardware (Servers, PC’s, printers, network equipment, etc.).
- Assisting with basic network administration (creating new network accounts, email accounts, etc.).
- Assisting with installation and configuration of software on PC’s and servers.
- Troubleshooting network, data and voice communications, audio/visual equipment, PC software and hardware and end-user issues and problems that are designated as a basic level of complexity.
- Two (2) years of experience in the field of Information Systems is required
- An associate’s degree in Information Technology is preferred
- Specialized training in networking, including relevant hardware and/or software the credit union uses is preferred.
