IT Intern

Type: Temporary-on-call Location: Huntsville, AL Position Description: Radiance Technologies, an employee-owned company, is seeking a highly motivated, customer-service oriented, and organized individual to join our Huntsville, AL team as an IT Intern. This is a paid internship that will work full-time in the summer with the ability to start right away if located in Huntsville. The individual would be performing a range of DevSecOps duties to support a Modeling and Simulation (MandS) development team. The candidate will be expected to integrate into the existing platform team and fulfill the role of using DevSecOps tools to streamline the setup of development and deployment platforms. Required Skills and Experience Junior or Senior at an accredited college or university working towards an Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science degree Overall GPA of 3.5 or higher (Please list your GPA on your resume to be considered) Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communications, with a strong customer service focus to support internal customers US citizenship with the ability to obtain a clearance Desired Qualifications Cloud services, databases, networking, and containerization Linux-based infrastructures or system administration System security architectures including firewalls and Access Control Lists Configuration management such as Bitbucket or GitLab ELK Stack or Prometheus logging platforms Container / orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Software vulnerability or compliance assessment Security control or policy integration Clearance: Applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
