Summary

Fabrication, modification, and repair of plastic tanks and systems.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Determine project requirements, including scope, assembly sequences, and required methods and materials, according to drawings, and written or verbal instructions.
  • Able to use Power Tools; Table Saw, Drill press, Band Saw and hand tools.
  • Experience using Thermal Plastic Welding equipment including Butt Welder, single bead welder and Extrusion Welder.
  • Lay out, measure, and mark dimensions and reference lines on material, according to drawings or templates, using calculators, scribes, squares. Examine plastic stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met. Set up and operate machines, such as table saw, routers, plainer, grinders, and drill presses, to bend, cut, form, drill, or otherwise assemble components.
  • Fasten seams or joints together with welds, bolts, and contact cement to assemble components or to repair sheet plastic items.
  • Trim, file, grind, deburr, buff, or smooth surfaces, seams, or joints of assembled parts, using hand tools or portable power tools.
  • Some assembly of pumps, tanks & instrumentation systems may also be involved.
  • Redline drawings to reflect any and all changes made while the product was being assembled or fabricated.
  • Support proper skidding and packaging of equipment for shipment.
  • Field installation of finished tanks, hoods and ventilation systems required periodically. Ability to complete fabrication and installation of equipment at customer facilities using ladders, lifts and boom trucks.
  • Keep working area neat and orderly at all times and maintain all tooling.
  • Maintain safety at all times by using the safety equipment provided. Be able to lift 70 LBS.
  • Driver's license required.
  • Must have OSHA 10, will train for Confined Space. Medical Card required
Qualifications

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred; or one year related experience as an install in similar field, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Language Ability: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Math Ability: Ability to add, subtract, and take measurements.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to diagnose complex problems and troubleshoot. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems.
  • Special Skills: Mechanical skills. Experience with hand power tools and larger equipment including drill presses, band saws, table saw and routers is preferred. Some knowledge of building wood cabinetry, plastics welding and/or plumbing experience a plus.
Schedule

Position is full-time Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
