Accessioning tissue, embeds, sections, stains, and labels surgical and autopsy specimens. May assist with autopsies. Frozen sections, bone marrows and fine needle aspirations. Produces high quality specimens to be used for pathology and research needs. Performs all necessary duties and procedures required for the processing of specimens for diagnostic purposes.Position QualificationsMinimum Education: Completion of a degree in SciencePreferred Education: Certified as a Histology TechMinimum Experience: Completion of a degree in SciencePreferred Experience: Two years of experience in a hospital settingCertifications Preferred: Histology Tech certification
