Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Principal or Designee, the Athletic Trainer coordinates programs of preventative care, emergency care, immediate first aid, and therapeutic/rehabilitation, training and athletic program excellence for both High School and Middle School student-athletes and coaches and remains available for athletic practices, home games, and specified away games. This position exhibits a high degree of independent judgment and must effectively communicate with students, parents, and other school personnel. Requirements / Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree from an accredited professional athletic training education program;
Certification as a Certified Athletic Trainer from the National Athletic Trainers Association Board of Certification (NATABOC);
Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency;
Previous experience as a high school athletic trainer preferred;
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the appointing authority may deem appropriate;
Valid driver's license;
Must have ability to obtain and maintain insurability status under the District's vehicle insurance policy.
