POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving solution development and optimization across various business functions. Tasked with analyzing requirements throughout the solution lifecycle, they ensure seamless development, implementation, and performance of applications and systems. This role supports the Project Management Office and will serve as a liaison between the business and vendor, and technical aspects of assigned projects.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

May perform any or all of the following duties:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to develop comprehensive requirements for process or system solutions, employing various methodologies. Document requirements meticulously to ensure traceability and assess the viability of proposed solutions.
  • Provide insights into evolving applications and systems, mapping current processes to desired future states. Identify gaps, opportunities for enhancement, and the impact of requirements on existing components.
  • Support solution design sessions, advocating for necessary data or services. Research and recommend third-party vendors when appropriate.
  • Assist in solution integration, acceptance testing, and post-implementation support, defining user acceptance criteria and coordinating training efforts.
  • Drive continuous process improvement by staying abreast of industry best practices and recommending enhancements aligned with business goals.
  • Demonstrate self-leadership, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and adapt to evolving responsibilities.
  • Participates in company meetings, webinars, and conference calls.
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions and/or requirements.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, MIS, or related field (Additional equivalent work experience may be substituted for the degree requirement).
  • 5+ years’ experience working on and/or managing IT project(s) involving the implementation of SDLC project life cycle methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).
  • Experience working with back-of-house restaurant solutions involving both inventory and labor management solutions, as well as SQL skills to query, update or delete data is desired.
  • Experience implementing complex COTS (Commercial Off-the-Shelf), 3rd Party Vendor software preferred.
  • Experience managing a matrix team of associates, contractors and vendors with various skills and disciplines.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence and negotiate without authority across all levels of IT and business units.
  • Restaurant industry experience highly preferred.
  • Well organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, logical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of project management principles and planning.
  • Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices.
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the organization and the industry.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Smartsheet experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Restaurant Support Center that is a fast-paced, high volume of activity and a deadline-driven environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Sitting for extended periods of time, using telephone, typing and/or operating a computer and/or mouse
