Description

ALTIVIA is currently seeking an experienced Electrician for the Haverhill, OH plant. This position will be responsible for the following:

Job Responsibilities
  • Installing, maintaining, and enhancing electrical systems and components
  • Inspecting, testing, and diagnosing issues with electrical systems and components
  • Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
  • Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
  • Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
  • Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
  • Provide preventative maintenance on low and medium voltage circuit breaker; Inspect to ensure contact alignment, correct wipe and gap measurements; primary connections are clean and lubricated; mechanical and electrical interlocks are working properly; cubicles will be vacuumed and all moving parts lubricated
  • Provide preventative maintenance on facility transformers; visually inspect substation transformers for damaged insulators, potheads, bushings, or indications of overheating cable connections; inspect transformer pressure relief devices, tap changers, liquid level indicators, and cooling tubes for discrepancies; inspect equipment ground and record the number and size of ground bus and straps; check for proper tightness of all external bolted electrical joints
Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications (special skills, knowledge, ability, education, etc.)
  • 3+ years of industrial electrical experience preferably in chemical manufacturing facility
  • Completion of an electrical program at a technical or trade school preferred
  • Journeyman electrician license or NCCER electrical certification required
  • Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
  • Strong background in preventative maintenance procedures for electrical equipment
  • Experience performing preventativve maintenance on relays a plus
