Responsibilities:The Nursing Assistant (CENA) performs a variety of resident related direct care duties, such as recording vital signs, transporting, transferring, toileting, positioning, feeding, bathing, dressing, grooming residents, encouraging highest level of independence, and validating residents' concerns.Qualifications Education: High school graduate/GED. Successful completion of a nursing assistant program. CNA certification is required.Experience: Previous experience as a caregiver is preferred, but not required. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilitiesAbility to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsWorking knowledge of personal computers and related softwareAbility to work with little supervision and make appropriate judgments.Dependability, with the ability to follow direction.Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job.
